Durant scores 38 points, Warriors beat Jazz to take 3-0 lead

National Basketball Association teams that go down 0-3 in a seven game series have gone 0-123. This evening only three players (KD, Curry, Iguodala) met that benchmark.

The Jazz continued the good defense in the fourth. Golden State had just 17.

This is true despite the Warriors shooting the ball only okay, not particularly well. Golden State has yet to lose in the playoffs.

When the offense is clicking the Warriors can play solid defense and win easily. Golden State trailed for the first time this series in Game 3 and was behind by nine in the third quarter.

Despite an eight-day gap between games after sweeping Portland in the first round, the Warriors were relatively sharp in their 106-94 victory over Utah. Since a win might mean another lengthy rest period the Dubs goal should be to focus on refining all aspects of their game.

Clearly the Warriors will win the series, but they need to be cautious in the next outing.

Game 2 of the Warriors vs.

Take Game 3 of Golden State's series against Utah.

After many months of waiting for this Jazz-Warriors series to come to fruition, it hasn't been all that great of a series.

Durant had 35 on 15-for-26 shooting. The Warriors are going to put up points - even against the regular-season's best defense- so Utah needs to find more offense to be competitive. He also played the fewest minutes of his career per game, and took the fewest shot attempts per game as well.

This series is about pride for the Jazz now - we'll see if even that is a strong enough force to overcome this Warriors behemoth. Jazz head coach Quin Snyder was wired up during tonight's game and said that he didn't think the moment was too big for his team.

Three times, they delivered it to him 15 feet from the hoop and then cleared out. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson were missing more than splashing. That's because the Warriors were huge favorites at home and fell just short of covering the first two games. In a league where only a handful of players can hope to contain Durant, no one on the Utah team has a whispered rumor of a chance to slow him. This was because of the 22 first half points Durant dropped to keep Golden State alive. It took a little longer than usual, but his "Welcome to the playoffs" breakout was yet another reminder that the still-undefeated Warriors have more go-to options than anybody.

When he saw shots were not falling for his team-mates, Kevin Durant went to work reviving the Golden State Warriors' offence.

The Jazz shot a poor percentage from the floor, but all five starters finished with double-digit points. Hayward had 29 points on 7-for-18 shooting, plus six assists.

Gordon Hayward led Utah with 29 points; Rudy Gobert added 21 points and 15 rebounds. The Jazz cut their turnovers in half, and the share of Warriors points that came after these turnovers were chopped in half as well. Golden State took a 9-0 lead, then took control in second quarter before pulling away in the fourth.

The final score doesn't do justice to how well the Jazz played.

The last time Durant met LeBron in the Finals, he lost four straight. "So that puts Gobert in a perdicerment, we've got a seven footer who is coming at him downhill". The quarter ended with the Jazz up one, 50-49. Hopefully, George Hill will return from his lingering toe injury for Game Four. The Utah Jazz have won 10 of their last 13 home games.
