Watch Katy Perry address rumours 'Swish Swish' is about Taylor Swift

Katy stuns museum goers with 'Bon Appetit' exhibit

Although Perry chose to play coy about whether or not her latest single was aimed at Swift, she confirmed that "Swish, Swish" was inspired by someone who attempted to bully her.

Katy Perry set the record straight about reports her new single "Swish Swish" is about her infamous "Bad Blood" with Taylor Swift.

Host Jimmy Fallon kicked off his interview with the Grammy nominee, 32, by asking if the Nicki Minaj-featured track is "about anyone we know". It's just like, 360-degree liberation.

Katy didn't take the bait, saying, "I think it's a great anthem for people to use whenever someone's trying to hold you down or bully you".

"Your game is exhausted, you should retire", sings Perry in her new song. Talking about the already released songs, she described "Chained to the Rhythm" as a "political liberation", "Bon Appétit" as a "sexual liberation" and "Swish Swish" as "the liberation from all the negative that doesn't serve you".

The Orange Is the New Black actress continued to slam the pop star, replying to fans and writing that she stands up for the people she loves.

The song sounds like another hit in the basket for Katy Perry!

Katy had also told Entertainment Weekly that the album "is not about any one person", and rather, a reminder that "you can't mistake kindness for weakness and don't come for me. Anyone. Anyone. Anyone. Anyone", she said. "This record is about me being seen and heard so that I can see and hear everyone else. I think there's a healing in it for me and vulnerability".
