Putin Denies Ever Meeting With Trump

Vladimir Putin says claims about Russian involvement in USA elections are untrue and that the United States actively interferes with elections in other countries.

Speaking in St Petersburg, Mr Putin said he did not have any knowledge of meetings between Trump campaign officials and the Russian ambassador and said that "no proposal" came to him from the USA president's son-in-law Jared Kushner for a secret communication channel.

The Russian president again denied Kremlin interference in the US election by hacking Democratic Party emails.

Russian President Vladimir Putin dismisses the allegation that Russians meddled in the US election.

On "Sunday Night", Kelly came out of the gate in a much more forceful manner than she had with Trump, and asked much harder questions. “No such proposal ever reached me.” Putin said many CEOs of major USA companies visit Russian Federation and then asked rhetorically, "do you think we're gathering dirt on all of them right now or something?"

Kelly also attempted to ask Putin directly about Russian interference with the U.S.'s 2016 presidential elections, but the Russian president was similarly dismissive. There was a time when he came to Russian Federation ... but I never met him.

"I will tell you something that you probably already know. We have a lot of Americans who visit us".

"I didn't even really talk to him", Putin told Kelly.

But Kelly pressed "No meetings between Ambassador Kislyak and anybody from the Trump campaign?"

Megyn Kelly's Sunday night show on her new network, NBC, finally debuted over the weekend, and it did not disappoint.

"This is just another load of nonsense", Putin said in a vague denial of the claim.

When the Senate intelligence committee in May demanded that Flynn provide a list of any contacts with Russian officials during the presidential campaign and transition, Flynn invoked his constitutional right against self-incrimination and refused.

He accused the USA media of sensationalizing information and using it as a "weapon of war" against Trump. When I came to the event for our for our company, Russia Today, and sat down at the table, next to me there was a gentleman sitting on one side. "He used to be in the security services.'.That's the extent of my acquaintance with Mr Flynn". The public hearing is expected to shed light on his private conversations with Mr Trump in the weeks before his dismissal, including any discussion about the Flynn investigation.

President Putin stated in no uncertain terms that "there were no meetings" between himself and President Trump and that they "did not have any relationship at all" with him and were not holding any kind of information that could reflect negatively on him.

Putin, for instance, dismissed Kelly's questions about repression and the killing of journalists in Russian Federation by saying it was another example of American moralizing.

Reuters has reported that Flynn and Trump's son-in-law and close advisor, Jared Kushner, discussed with Kislyak the idea of creating a back channel between Trump and Putin that could have bypassed diplomats and intelligence agencies.

He also brought up the U.S.' history of electoral interference before clarifying Russia saw no need to interfere in 2016, as well as repeatedly denied contact between Russian officials and Trump associates.
