Secondary E-Ink Display Retains Presence on YotaPhone 2 Successor

The YotaPhone 3 is officially arriving later this year

While we still don't know much about the YotaPhone 3, the phone will have a full colour display on the front and a secondary, e-ink display on the back. Along with this, the phone has a 5.2-inch HD E Ink touchscreen. The YotaPhone 2 was announced in the U.S but it's most likely that the YotaPhone 3 will not make it to the U.S, in fact, it is quite possible that the phone will be restricted to the Chinese and the Russian markets.

The concept was well-received despite poor execution in the first attempt.

According to the General Director of BaoliYota Technology, the YotaPhone 3 will be available in two versions: a 64GB model that will sell for $350 and a 128GB model priced at $450.

Almost four years later, the YotaPhone 3 will reportedly launch this year with a friendlier price.

Not many manufacturers decide to createtruly unique phones anymore. Well, the successor of the new YotaPhone 3 has been announced with two different variants in the market.

Some reports claim that the third generation model of the phone will hit store shelves in China as well as Russian Federation sometime in the fall this year. The announcement was made at the China-Russia Expo on Friday. Yotaphone had a party trick up its sleeve, or rather, on its back.

Similar to its predecessor, the YotaPhone 3 is also expected to feature the rear E-ink display, which will be accompanied by an AMOLED display on the front of the smartphone.

Talking about some key specifications, the report further highlights that the smartphone will come 4GB of RAM, a 12-megapixel rear camera with dual flash, 13-megapixel front-facing camera, 3200mAh battery and a USB Type-C port.
