Search continues for four missing Philadelphia men, possible suspect in custody

Police search for missing Langhorne teenager

Newtown Township, Plumstead Township, Middletown Township Police and state police are all involved in the joint investigation, Bucks County Assistant District Attorney Gregg Shore told ABC Philadelphia station WPVI-TV.

Their search still centers on a Solebury township farm.

Weintraub, who suspects foul says, Cosmo Dinardo is behind bars on one million dollars bail in connection with a gun charge.

"We don't pick a person and try to build a case against them", he said, referring to Cosmo DiNardo. Sturgis and Meo are longtime friends who work in construction for Sturgis' father. The others are Jimi Tar Patrick, 19, of Newtown Township; Mark Sturgis, 22, of Pennsburg, Montgomery County; and Dean Finocchiaro, 19, of Middletown.

He admitted it may take days before more information comes to light, though he said the leads are "incredibly hot and fruitful".

Weintraub said the families are "very prayerful".

Neither DiNardo's parents nor his lawyer have commented this week.

Family members of the missing men arrived Tuesday morning at the search site, about 30 miles south of Easton, flanked by victim advocates from Network of Victim Assistance.

"We're going to continue digging and searching that property until we're satisfied that they are not there", Weintraub said earlier in the day.

The AP, citing an affidavit procured by the Bucks County Courier Times, reported that DiNardo was accused of having a shotgun and ammunition in February, even though he has a history of mental illness that has included voluntary commitment. His family also reportedly owns the large farm in Solebury Township where an active search for the four missing men was launched on Monday.

Meo and Sturgis were known friends.

"I surely believe there is", Weintraub said.

Weintraub also said he could not confirm whether a grand jury investigation has been opened into the case.

The man identified as a person of interest in the disappearance of four men last week in Bucks County was back in custody Wednesday, the prosecutor announced. We're making great progress, but there's so much more work to do, ' Bucks County District Attorney Matthew Weintraub said during a press conference on Monday afternoon. The bison apparently threw the man into a bush, knocking him unconscious, Andes said.

Weintraub addressed the media not far from the location of one search, a multi-acre property along Route 202 near Aquetong Road in Solebury.

When asked whether he thought the missing men were alive, the district attorney replied, "I hope and I pray that would be the best outcome".

And with time ticking away, authorities appear to be thinking the worst for four men gone missing since last week.

Police have not said if the missing men are in any danger. DiNardo's attorney, Michael Parlow, did not return a phone call.

Sturgis was last seen leaving his home on Walt Road in Pennsburg, around 6 p.m. Friday to visit his friend, Meo, in Doylestown, Sturgis' father told NBC10.
