Teen Accused of Driving Under the Influence Livestreams Fatal Los Banos Crash

Teen arrested after 14-year-old sister dies in California car wreck livestreamed on Instagram

An 18-year-old who was arrested Friday livestreamed the crash that killed her 14-year-old sister and seriously injured another girl.

The livestream was recorded by shocked viewer Mary Hernandez who reposted it on social media.

"Jacqueline, please wake up", Ms Obdulia says while trying to shake 14-year-old Jacqueline Sanchez Estrada. I f-- killed my sister, OK?

"I f-ing love my sister to death".

The other 14-year-old passenger suffered what authorities call "severe trauma" to one of her legs in the crash.

A family member told the Fresno television station that Sanchez would have celebrated her Quinceanera on Sunday.

They do confirm that Friday evening Sanchez was with her 14-year-old sister, Jacqueline Sanchez, and another 14-year-old when she started to leave the roadway, over-corrected, and crashed.

"She was in the back seat of the vehicle and allegedly unseatbelted, and upon the vehicle rolling over, it ejected her and killed her", Merced County Sheriff Vern Warnke told ABC 30.

Before the crash, Sanchez recorded herself driving and singing along to music.

According to Buzzfeed, police have accused Sanchez of driving under the influence in Stockton, California, on Friday evening before she lost control of her vehicle at about 6:40 p.m.

Obdulia Sanchez, 18, of Stockton, was booked into the Merced County Jail for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs causing injury and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. The two girls in the back were not wearing seat belts. Suspect's family says she was on Instagram Live during crash. It posted a video of a girl bloodied and unconscious.

According to the Daily Mail, Jacqueline was going to celebrate her Quinceañera last weekend. "This is the last thing I wanted to happen to us but it just did", she said. "I love you rest in peace, sweetie". The California Highway Patrol is examining the video as part of the investigation. "Wake up, baby! I'm really sorry baby, I did not mean to kill you sweetie!" A GoFundMe page has been set up to help with funeral expenses.
