Could A Superhero Wedding Be The Next 'Arrowverse' Crossover?

CW Announces Fall Dates For DC Superhero Crossovers

It's a good way to get people to start watching a good show in Supergirl, but if you were tuning in expecting to see your favorite characters from The Flash, Arrow or Legends of Tomorrow, you were out of luck.

This year's big Arrowverse crossover between Supergirl, The Flash, DC's Legends of Tomorrow and Arrow will be more personal than ever.

The crossover will kick off on Monday, November 27 with back-to-back episodes of Supergirl and Arrow (the latter moving from its Thursday time slot), followed by the conclusion on November 28 with episodes of The Flash and DC's Legends of Tomorrow airing together. The crossover will wrap up on Tuesday, with The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. However, he also said that the "Arrowverse" crossover "may go back to four nights next year".

"Last year's crossover was our most successful week I believe in CW's history", The CW's president Mark Pedowitz said. We thought this was a tight, concise way of doing it.

Rather than spread across the four nights of the week like in 2016, the crossover will be presented as a two-night mini-series event. "They're all big episodic productions but this one will be even bigger". Additionally, while Black Lightning is set to debut in The CW's cavalcade of DC Comics stars this season, it's unlikely that the electricity-wielding hero will be taking part in the 2017 crossover and that series will, for now, remain a separate superhero offshoot. You get to see a whole different thing.

He was light on other details, except to say that "romance is in the air". "There are many life events that happen". While speculation for last year's crossover plot was wild, very few predicted that it would adapt Keith Giffen and Bill Mantlo's obscure and forgotten 1988-1989 Invasion!

Last year, The CW presented a SUPERGIRL/FLASH two-night episode featuring Darren Criss as well as original music from LA LA LAND composers Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.

Since "Arrow's" debut in 2012, The CW has launched an ambitious shared universe with its heroes.
