West Ham keeper Hart: I don't care about Guardiola opinion

"It is tough to get into a Premier League team, I found that out myself this summer".

The Hammers' new keeper is, however, forever the diplomat and his treatment by Guardiola is not up for discussion, other than he doesn't think about the Spaniard or Manchester City any more, even though he remains on their books.

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic concedes that his side were totally outclassed by Manchester United in their meeting at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

City's signing of Ederson from Benfica was effectively the death knell for Hart's career at the Etihad Stadium and the 30-year-old will hope to impress at West Ham as he looks to ensure that he is Gareth Southgate's first-choice goalkeeper for England at next year's World Cup in Russian Federation.

Not that Hart is desperate to comb through the wreckage of his relationship with Manchester City.

"But as far as the business side goes, with new managers and opinions, it's unfortunately football and you've just got to take it on the chin".

"My feelings for Manchester City will never change, I'm eternally grateful to them as a football club".

Zabaleta himself has recently admitted that he does not have many years left as a professional football and had said, "I know probably I am towards the end of my career and I can't say that I will play for another five or six years". There's no point taking it too personally because it's not all about me. I want to play at the highest standard available to me.

"The game moves quickly, there are plenty of people who have been in my situation and you have two choices. There wasn't an terrible lot of movement goalkeeper-wise this summer so I'm very thankful to get this opportunity".

"I can not be any more grateful for the opportunity they have given me".

Hart replied: "That is gone".

"We made big, big mistakes like the first goal". "It's a privileged position to play for the country and every single time I put on that No1 jersey for England I'm very proud and excited for what comes with it".

West Ham how now lost 11 times on the opening weekend of a Premier League season - the worst such record in the division - while Man United have lost just one of their last 13 curtain-raisers at Old Trafford.
