Elvis Presley Death: Lisa Marie Presley returns to Graceland

Like 2016, Another Demonstration Planned On Night Of Annual Elvis Presley Candlelight Vigil

If Elvis were alive today he would be 82, but Mr Pomare doesn't think he would still be performing.

The rock "n" roll star became one of the most influential musicians ever, with estimated record sales of around 600million as of 2017.

"The Elvis known today is not the real Elvis, but a mythological figure millions can relate to in their own way", says the author of "The Death and Resurrection of Elvis Presley".

Presley was just 42 years old when he passed away at his Graceland mansion in Memphis, Tennessee, from a heart attack.

The auction has been organised for charity which enables sellers to list items to benefit non-profit organisations.

Elvismania shows no sign of waning four decades on - and a whopping 600,000 people still make the pilgrimage to his grave every year.

It was in 1960, when Elvis was returning from his national service, which saw him called up two years earlier despite his already stratospheric fame, that he found himself in South Ayrshire.

The piano will be on sale for 10 days, ending on August 20.

Another fan, Sharon Morris said, "When we got married 43 years ago we had "Can't Help Falling in Love With You" as our wedding song so it's been a long time, but we've always loved Elvis".

Radio stations played Presley's hits throughout the day, and a secretary at KTAM told The Eagle that "phones have been ringing off the walls since we announced his death".

Sprung has been an Elvis collector for 60 years.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain about whether Elvis would have survived beyond that night, Priscilla said: 'No I don't. New Ross native Sherry Evans, then 21, knew Presley was in poor health and didn't want to see him.She made a decision to wait until he recovered before going to a concert.

Elvis' last girlfriend, beauty queen Ginger Alden, was the person who discovered his lifeless body on the bathroom floor at Graceland - an undignified end for a superstar. Though the music continues to change, there will never be another Elvis.
