In case you missed it, General Flynn, Reine Priebus, Sean Spicer, Anthony Scaramucci, and now Steve Bannon have all left the administration. He was furious with his chief strategist after he was quoted in an interview with the American Prospect contradicting Trump on North Korea and asserting that Bannon was able to make personnel changes at the State Department.

Trump also could not resist another dig at the Democrat whom he upset in last fall's election, noting of Bannon: "He came to the campaign during my run against Crooked Hillary Clinton - it was great!"

After Bill criticized President Trump on his Friday night show for his dealings with the riots in Charlottesville, Virginia, the comic talked about the former White House strategist's exit.

Bannon's departure was described as a mutual decision by the White House and Bannon himself, and Breitbart highlighted admiring parting words for Bannon tweeted by President Trump.

President Donald Trump expressed his gratitude to newly ousted Steve Bannon on social media Saturday, less than 24 hours after the senior White House adviser was sacked from the administration. The news site says Bannon led an editorial meeting Friday evening.

"The Trump presidency that we fought for, and won, is over".

Breitbart has frequently criticized Republican leaders such as House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) for not staying true to conservative principles and not doing enough to enact Trump's agenda. Someone said, 'it's Bannon the barbarian.' I am definitely going to crush the opposition.

The White House Friday afternoon said Bannon was leaving.

In comments to the Weekly Standard, he made clear his commitment to the nationalist-populist "movement" that carried Trump to power.

'I've got my hands back on my weapons, ' Bannon, 63, told the publication. Mr Bannon came on very much later than that. Trump has not been consistent in backing him, however, hinting on Wednesday that Bannon's future at the White House might be in jeopardy.
