It's peak Taylor Swift to try and eclipse the natural wonder of an actual eclipse, and her fans are 100% here for it.

The video appears to show the tail of a snake-like creature and it has excited the singer's 85 million Twitter followers.

Swift's post comes just days after the "Blank Space" singer went blank on social media Friday, clearing out the entirety of her Instagram, Twitter and Tumblr accounts.

Swift has been in the news quite a bit in the past week, winning a sexual assault law case against DJ David Mueller who groped her during a photo shoot.

Taylor Swift has fuelled speculation she is releasing new music as she broke her social media blackout on Monday (21.08.17).

After the singer's social media accounts were wiped fans speculated a new single would be here soon, and rumors are circulating online that Swift's single "Timeless" is dropping shortly. And since that day, we haven't seen or heard from Swift. If Swift is about to drop an album, this will be her sixth studio album and her first since 1989 came out in 2014. It's still unclear as to whether or not this was the result of a hack or a deliberate move from Taylor herself, perhaps in anticipation of new music.

Her fearless testimony describing the incident was applauded by fans and women's rights groups alike for highlighting the issue of sexual assault. Coming from one of Swift's best celebrity pals, Ed Sheeran, the British recording artist hinted on the issue during his interview with the BBC.

"Is she about to slither back into our hearts?"
