
Dozens of worshipers were killed Friday when suicide bombers struck two mosques in an escalation of violence in Afghanistan that has left at least 150 people dead this week.

In a statement on its website late Friday, ISIS said claimed its fighter Abu Ammar al-Turkmani "detonated his explosive vest among the apostates" during Friday prayers in the Imam Zaman mosque in western Kabul.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack on their website, labelling the surge in suicide auto bombings and armed assaults as the "revenge of 750 bombs" in clear reference to 751 air raids conducted by the US forces against suspected militants in September alone. Most of those attacks targeted Afghan police or military facilities.
Dashte-e-Barchi is a sprawling neighbourhood in the west of Kabul where the majority of people are ethnic Hazaras, who are mostly Shiite Muslims.
"These people introduced by locals aren't professionals and due to the negligence of one guard, who was standing at mosque's gate, the suicide bomber sneaked inside".
"These brutal and senseless attacks against people at prayer are atrocities", said Yamamoto.
A separate attack on a mosque in the central province of Ghor was also reported on Friday. Seven of his bodyguards were also killed in the bombing.
Earlier this year, following an attack claimed by the Islamic State group on the Iraqi embassy in Kabul. In addition, several attempted suicide bombings in Kabul have been foiled.
