Poor Gemma Collins Creases Herself On Stage In Wembly Stadium

Gemma Collins radio 1

Meanwhile, despite her words, Gemma was pictured returning to filming just one day after her horror fall at the Radio 1 Teen Awards.

Gemma Collins has joked that she felt like Bridget Jones after slipping and falling through a trapdoor on stage at the Radio 1 Teen Awards.

The reality TV star stole the headlines for all the wrong reasons when she announced Love Island as the victor of Best TV Show at the annual awards as a trap door opened to bring the winners up on stage.

But it appears Gemma escaped unscathed from the incident - minus a bruised ego - as she took to Twitter to assure her fans that she was OK. "Her legs are gonna be crushed!' because the platform underneath was raising up and my legs were dangling over the end of it so thank you to the two Love Island guys", Gemma said.

The trapdoor was created to allow the winners, Jamie Jewitt, Amber Davies, and Marcel Somerville, to come on stage easily, but Gemma didn't see it and fell straight through.

"But I lived to tell tale, I got back up and went on to present with Grimmy and Rita". I was like, "Mum I'm okay!' and she was like, 'Gemma, this could have been fatal, you could have died". I've got a bit of a booty going on, so thank god for that.

Gemma Collins, a cast member on United Kingdom reality show The Only Way Is Essex, was announcing the victor of Best TV Show when a trap door opened to allow the winners to be lifted up.

She added, "Yes I'm in a bit of pain, but it was the best moment of my life". I'm alive. I've always said I'm like Bridget Jones don't worry everyone.

"I'm in a bit of shock still", she said.

"That poor girl [Amber Davies] almost got totally crushed, there's nothing of her". Because the three Love Island guys were coming up on the stage. "When I tell you I'm Bridget Jones in an Essex girl it's finally confirmed". It was one of those moments I don't think I am every going to live down'.
