Overwatch Adding New Character Moira, "Ambitious" Talon Geneticist

BlizzCon 2017 to Feature Esports Detail Future Direction for Blizzard Titles

Capable of healing allies and dealing huge damage to enemies, she's a force we're very eager to cause chaos with when she arrives in the near future.

BlizzCon is without a doubt one of the most exciting gaming events of the year, so when we got the opportunity to take part via a virtual ticket watching at home for BlizzCon 2017, you can bet we jumped at the opportunity!

Biotic Orb - Moira launches a rebounding biotic sphere; she can choose between a regeneration effect that heals the allies it passes through, or a decay effect that deals damage to enemies.

Announced at Blizzcon 2017 today, the next Overwatch map is modeled after a fictional Blizzard theme park (for a second I thought a real Blizzard theme park was coming) called Blizzard World.

She also sports a new teleporting ability named "Fade", which removes her briefly from the map, before appearing in a new location. She, like Reaper, fully aligns herself with Talon, which also includes Doomfist, Sombra, and Widowmaker.

Overwatch is getting a new support hero whose ultimate is a healing/hurting kamehameha beam. However, Blizzard did joke that she is an incredibly powerful character that the team is eager to see implemented into the game.

"In addition, other geneticists were unable to reproduce the results of Moira's research, which further called her discoveries into question".

Check out the official Overwatch website for more information.

There is no word on when Moira will be added to the game.

Using her left hand, Moira expends biotic energy to heal allies in front of her.

Are you excited to play as Moira in Overwatch?
