Kidnapping charges pending against nude suspects after two-vehicle crash in Nisku

Royal Canadian Mounted Police responding to a car crash in a town south of Edmonton Alberta Monday Nov. 6 2017 arrived to find five naked people in the car

A freaky crash in Nisku that ended Monday morning with five naked people in police custody began with a kidnapping, RCMP said. Laurel Scott said the mother, six-week-old infant and the woman's father had been abducted from a home in Nisku, Laduc County, at around 9.30am and forced into a BMW against their will. The man was put in the trunk of the auto. Amid the chaos, the woman also managed to flee with her baby.

First the man, who was in the trunk, managed to escape, followed by the woman and the baby. None of three were injured.

Case in point: arresting five naked people outside Edmonton after a vehicle crash.

"A passerby offered assistance and secured all three in his truck", the release said.

That's when the initial suspect vehicle with the alleged kidnappers rammed the truck from behind, which sent it into a ditch.

On Monday, RCMP said the five who were arrested were naked, but have not explained why. RCMP believe that drugs and/or alcohol are a contributing factor to this collision.

The kidnapping suspects have not been named and it's unclear why they were naked at the scene of the crash.

Global News Canada reports that at the time of the crash on Monday morning, temperatures in the area were around 17 degrees.

Three adults remained in police custody Tuesday.

The three adult suspects now have charges pending for kidnapping and resisting arrest, with the two underage girls released without charge.

"Two of the subjects arrested were youths, and have been released with no charges".
