Google Pixel 2 XL Owners Facing Flashing Screen Issue

Pixel 2

Issues have also been reported with the Pixel 2 XL, especially on Google product forums. Are there problems with the Google Pixel 2 Mic? If that's truly the case, then this issue on the Pixel 2 XL can't be fixed through a software update.

Google is having a pretty rough stint with its newest Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL flagships. The smaller, HTC developed Pixel 2 handset has experienced problems of its own, but to a much lesser degree. As such, the fact that mics on the Pixel 2, Galaxy S8, and Note 8 mysteriously aren't working has got a lot of customers quite irritated - and rightly so. Have you had to deal with Pixel 2 or 2 XL issues? It will be interesting to see how Google is going to respond to the new issue.

A Google Pixel 2 XL user who is experiencing this problem captured a video showing how the screen is flashing brightly before unlocking.

The Pixel User Community forums post, which was first published back in October 21, has now gained some attention with other users reporting to be experiencing the same issue.

Users just need to follow the link provided in the email, which will take them directly to the Google Store, according to 9 to 5 Google. One of the major problems is that the Pixel 2 has a potential bendgate situation as Google has fitted an antenna band at the weakest part of the phone.

Talking about the microphone issue first, some Pixel 2 owners have reported unresponsive microphones during calls or while using voice assistant. This could still be a hardware related issue that's directly tied to Android Oreo.

Some users even have reported a unusual screen flashing which happens when you lock or unlock the phone.

A number of users have reported that blowing into the bottom speaker or USB port seems to solve the microphone issue. Doing this made my microphone work again and it continues to work when it goes out.
