Conor McGregor Invades Cage After Fight, Argues With Ref, Swats At Official

Conor McGregor Explains Why 'It's Hard to Get Excited' To Fight Tony Ferguson

The UFC superstar was at Bellator 187 in Dublin watched training partner Charlie Ward fight when all hell broke loose. The fight, which reportedly moved between four and five million pay-per-view buys, saw McGregor pocket a $30 million guaranteed purse and may have tripled that number after receipts were counted.

Some pretty shocking footage has emerged of Conor McGregor slapping an official following his altercation with referee Marc Goddard at Bellator 187.

After Goddard tried to remove The Notorious from the cage, the Dubliner chased the official across the mat despite the attempts to hold him back.

McGregor, who is 21-3 in his MMA career, hasn't fought in the sport at all this year.

As all of this was happening, camera crews were rushing around to record the actions of the biggest athlete in all of combat sports. He made his massively hyped professional boxing debut against Floyd Mayweather in August.

After being escorted out of the cage, McGregor promptly returned to the vicinity of the area as he acknowledge the crowd. However, McGregor has said that he wants equity in the company and is demanding much larger paydays.

It is not immediately clear whether McGregor will face any disciplinary action by the UFC or a regulatory body.

What started as a middle-of-the-road Bellator fight card that was to air on Spike TV on a tape delay due to the time difference between the United States and Ireland took an interesting turn on Friday.
