Muhammad Hafeez suspended again for 'illegal' bowling action

Pakistan's Mohammad Hafeez has been suspended from bowling in international cricket

Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez's bowling action has been found illegal again after he was suspended from bowling in worldwide cricket by the ICC.

As a result, the 37-year-old was order to stop bowling and remodify his action before being able to apply for re-assessment.

This is not the first time the veteran Pakistani all-rounder has been banned from bowling in global cricket.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) said Thursday that an independent assessment showed that "the majority of his deliveries exceeded the 15 degrees level of tolerance permitted under the regulations".

The veteran cricketer was reported for a suspect action after the conclusion of the third ODI versus Sri Lanka in October and had to undergo an assessment on November 1 in Loughborough in England.

Pakistan's spinning all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has been suspended from bowling in global matches after failing another assessment test, cricket's governing body said Thursday. "Work harder on his batting", said the former fast bowler.

Hafeez then took to Twitter to plead his innocence, and soon, Pakistan fans started questioning ICC's verdict. In a different time, Hafeez's action was called in Australia as well - back in 2005 - while just before he was reported in November 2014, he was also reported in a Champions League T20 game in India. He was cleared to bowl in 2015 after he had remodeled his action. "There is lot of cricket coming up with the national team next year", he added.
