Harrison Ford Plays Real-Life Hero After Woman Crashes Car Off Highway

Actor Harrison Ford was photographed helping a woman after she veered off of a highway and crashed her auto.

The Hollywood actor took a heroic turn late Sunday morning (November 19), after a woman driving east on California State Route 126 accidentally ran her vehicle off the road.

Ford rescued the woman from the vehicle and stayed with her until an EMS crew arrived on the scene.

Senior Officer Matt Alonzo of the Santa Paula Police Department was working the incident, which took place around noon. Alongside other Good Samaritan bystanders, Harrison rushed to the woman's aide after pulling over and helped get her safely out of her crashed vehicle.

Ford was at the scene of the crash Sunday morning on Route 126, TMZ reported.

Ford was reportedly leaving a small airport near Santa Paula, which is often used by hobby pilots.

The driver was transported to Santa Paul hospital with minor injuries, a representative for SPFD said.

This isn't the first time Harrison has shown off his heroic side.

The "Indiana Jones" actor is a known plane enthusiast. TMZ reminded readers that, just two months ago, Ford made a decision to direct tunnel traffic in New York City.
