Your first look at the Range Rover SV Coupe

Land Rover Range Rover SV Coupe

It's a big, luxurious SUV that sports two doors - that's the Range Rover SV Coupe that British automaker Land Rover plans to reveal March 6 at the Geneva auto show. While the wood covered centre console with metallic trim runs the length of the cabin, the front seats sit in white and the rear passengers sit in dark navy blue.

Expect availability, pricing and more details to be revealed when the SV Coupe is revealed to the press and customers in an invitation-only "client commissioning" event in Paris on February 21.

It follows the Defender Works V8 unveiled last week, another limited edition special project reawakening the dormant Defender badge for one last hurrah, complete with 400bhp V8 and performance figures (in a straight line) to worry hot hatchbacks.

Ahead of the Geneva exposition here's a sneak peek at it - or at least of what Land Rover calls its "supremely refined" interior, boasting "peerless refinement and uncompromised sophistication".

"This is a vehicle that will resonate on an emotional level", he promised.

For Land Rover's 70th anniversary year, the company has teased the interiors of the upcoming Limited Edition Range Rover SV Coupe.

"Land Rover created the luxury SUV sector with Range Rover nearly 50 years ago", added John Edwards, Land Rover Special Operations Managing Director, "In launching the new Range Rover SV Coupé, we will offer clients an alluring combination of peerless luxury and rarity".

Arriving in the 70th year of Land Rover, the model pays homage to the original two-door Range Rover from 1970 (pictured below).

Land Rover has confirmed it is developing a two-door Range Rover SV Coupé that will be produced in up to 999 examples.

Although the new Range Rover SV Coupé will be sold around the world, just 999 of them will ever be made, all hand-assembled by JLR's Special Vehicle Operations in Warwickshire.
