DJ Found Guilty of Groping Taylor Swift Hired at Another Radio Station

DJ Accused of Groping Taylor Swift Back on the Air as “Stonewall Jackson”

A former Denver DJ who was found guilty of groping Taylor Swift has found a new radio job in MS under a new name.

During the trial, Swift testified that when Mueller groped her, "I remember being frantic, distressed, feeling violated in a way I had never experienced before".

"What I'm saying is I didn't do what they said", the ex-DJ, David Mueller, told ABC News' Clayton Sandell after the court ruling.

Fans of Swift have been quick to register their disdain at the news, with Billboard reporting that some had petitioned Delta Radio in an effort to have Mueller fired.

The hiring was met with backlash on social media, but Fuss defends his decision.

"It's just people who don't have a clue, or don't really have any knowledge of the facts", said Fuss.

"Most of them need to get a life". They're telling people to go to this station's webpage and post negative comments. After an internal KYGO investigation, he was sacked.

The DJ sued Taylor in 2015 for costing him his job.

Fuss had been trying to find a morning host since the KIX station launched in July, and made a decision to meet with Mueller when he found out the host was seeking employment.

He said: 'I mean if this is all about women's rights.

Some of the employees at the station were understandably skeptical of the hire at first Fuss added.

At the same time, Fuss admitted that hiring Mueller was "maybe a tiny bit" about publicity for for WMYZ-FM.

"In the radio business, it's all about what comes out of the speakers", Fuss said.

What I find so frustrating about this is that there exists a narrative that being accused of sexual misconduct can ruin a man's career forever, but here we find Muller with a new job and a boss who is willing to back him up, despite being found guilty of groping Swift. That's the reason I hired David. Mueller will use the name Stonewall Jackson on the air, which, yes, is a reference to a Confederate Civil War general.
