Four Paramilitary Troopers Killed In Pakistani Taliban Attack

Four FC men martyred in Quetta firing

Quetta Razzaq Cheema said the security personnel were on routine patrol when attacked by miscreants in Dukkani Baba area of Sariab Road.

At least four Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were martyred when unidentified men opened fire on their vehicle at Quetta's Sariab road on Wednesday.

Police and personnel of other law enforcement agencies reached the spot as investigation into the incident went under way.

The bodies of the deceased, whose institutional identity is yet to be ascertained, were shifted to Civil Hospital.

Balochistan Home Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti also condemned the targeted killing of the FC personnel.

Hours later, the Taliban-linked Lashkar-e-Jhangvi Al-Almi militant group claimed responsibility for the attack in Quetta's Saryab neighborhood.

Security officials inspect the attack site in southwest Pakistan's Quetta on February 14, 2018.

No one has immediately claimed the attack and Cheema says police and troops have launched a hunt for the assailants.

On January 28, a policeman was killed in Quetta's Hazarganji area in a targetted attack while on January 18, two Balochistan Constabulary officials were killed in Quetta. At least seven people were killed on Zarghoon Road last month when a suicide bomber rammed into a parked police truck.
