Danielle Herrington Just 3rd Black Woman To Cover Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue

How old is Kate Upton, is she married and how many times has she appeared on Sports Illustrated's cover?

The magazine also gave us a behind-the-scenes glimpse at moment the brunette bombshell learned she was the issue's cover model from other than model Tyra Banks, who broke the news ANTM-elimination style during a faux photo shoot.

The 24-year-old model is the face of the 2018 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, after being named the magazine's Rookie just last year.

"Women do not need to be modest to be respected-Live for you!" the note begins.

Models who have appeared on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in the past include Chrissy Teigen, Kate Upton, Ashley Graham, Christie Brinkley and Irina Shayk. "In school my major was psychology, I always thought it was really cool how the mind works, so I would be interested in becoming a child psychiatrist", she said. Herrington commented on her new cover, saying that it was "the best day of my life".

Sports Illustrated's latest Swimsuit Issue features, as always, some of the most attractive women in the world posing in some of the world's most handsome locales. The Compton, Calif. native mesmerized as she posed for her first professional shoot (EVER) in lovely Fiji. She made an impression during that shoot, and it directly led to her landing this year's cover. Just last month, the Olympic gold medal-donning gymnast delivered a powerful testimony in the Larry Nassar case, in which she shed light on the abuse that she and her fellow athletes endured from the former USA Gymnastics doctor.

The model appears in black and white photos that show her both kneeling with her hands on the floor, and standing up from behind. "You are the living embodiment to say that dreams do come true".

"I dedicate this to all the young girls out there", Herrington wrote on her Instagram.

"She owned every single second of her shoot", Day continued.

The model was taking part in a topless shoot in Aruba when she was knocked off her feet by the wave.
