Dana White Proclaims Floyd Mayweather Fighting In The UFC Is 'Gonna Happen'

Floyd Mayweather

"Is it possible that I come back?" I spoke with my team. Al Haymon says no.

The 41-year-old then said that he had spoken with his camp and CBS-Showtime about fighting in UFC.

Floyd Mayweather has commented on Conor McGregror's insane antics at the UFC 223 press conference. Mayweather defeated the UFC star in a boxing mega fight last summer.

The retired boxer also weighed in McGregor's rampage at UFC 223 media day this week, which resulted in injuries to multiple fighters and led to McGregor's arrest for assault and criminal mischief.

"I feel that when you have reached such high status, you have to carry yourself in a classy way", Mayweather commented on the recent McGregor news.

Many would insist that Mayweather, who has not been shy about boasting his flawless boxing record, would be risking not only his unblemished resume but also his health if he rushed into a UFC career. McGregor was involved in an altercation where he threw a hand truck through a bus window carrying UFC fighters and personnel. You got to talk to Showtime, CBS.

Should he eventually decide to enter the Octagon, whether it's against McGregor or someone else, Mayweather said he wants to fight at 145 pounds. If we can get together with Dana White and the UFC to make a megafight happen.

Mayweather, who has often used a retirement ruse as a way to sell tickets to his title fights, said people should know he is not serious when he says this will be his last time in the ring.

"The money is going to be insane".

"And just to clear something up", White said, "and I don't want to give this guy any publicity because he loves it, but that greasy, slimy, rat Espinoza talking about how, "Oh, we break the rules" and all this other (expletive)".
