Trump confident his lawyer Cohen won't betray him

Trump accuses NYT reporter of trying 'to destroy Michael Cohen' so he'll talk to the feds

The president is confident his long-term lawyer and trusted confidante Michael Cohen will not "flip" on him, as has been suggested, despite an ongoing investigation into alleged fraud.

So, Michael Cohen is "a fine person" but is in "trouble"? The Times speculated that Cohen might not be as willing to sacrifice for Trump despite his previous statement that he would take a "bullet" for the president.

The post included a link to the story and a screenshot of Trump's first tweet with the misspelling.

"Sorry, I don't see Michael doing that despite the frightful Witch Hunt and the dishonest media!" he added.

The New York Times and a third rate reporter named Maggie Haberman, known as a Crooked H flunkie who I don't speak to and have nothing to do with, are going out of their way to destroy Michael Cohen and his relationship with me in the hope that he will "flip".

Cohen's New York City office was recently raided by Federal Bureau of Investigation agents who sought bank records, information on Cohen's dealing in the taxi industry, Cohen's communications with the Trump campaign and information on payments he made in 2016 to former Playboy model Karen McDougal and to Daniels, both of whom allege relationships with Trump, people familiar with the raid told the Associated Press.

Cohen's lawyers have called the raid an assault on attorney-client privilege, and Trump has said it was "an attack on our country".

'Michael is a businessman for his own account/lawyer who I have always liked & respected, ' he continued.

Although Trump didn't name names, he said that one of the Times' sources was a "drunk/drugged up loser who hates Michael".

Nunberg told CNN's Abby Phillip: "I have no idea who POTUS is talking about so I have no response".

Some of the documents seized from him reportedly relate to a payment of $130,000 that Cohen admits making to the porn star Stormy Daniels, who claims she had a one-night stand with Trump a decade ago. "I mean, he is in the cross-hairs, there's no question he is going to be charged eventually with some very, very serious crimes, and I think there is no question that in an effort to save himself and his family and a lot of heartache, he is going to turn on the president".

Politico published a similar story Thursday which mentioned that those close to Trump are concerned that Cohen might "flip".
