The United States pushing Saudi Arabia to war against Iran

Iran's top leader accuses US of provoking regional conflicts

"The Americans do not want to suffer the cost of confronting the Islamic Republic and the powerful nation of Iran themselves; they want to make some states in the region shoulder it".

While Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is touring the region, meeting allies and promising to confront Tehran, Khamenei asserted that Iran's regional presence is not the problem, but rather, it is the United States'.

"One of the ways to confront Iran is to provoke inexperienced rulers of the region", he said, in an apparent reference to Saudi Arabia's 32-year-old Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt severed diplomatic and transport links with Qatar on June 5, accusing the country of supporting Sunni extremist groups and Iranian-backed Shiite militants.

Commenting on the global move aimed at containing Iran's regional threats, Khamenei said the Middle East wars were "the result of the American presence".

Saudi Arabia is the birthplace of Islam and does not officially recognize Israel.

Speaking at Amirkabir University of Technology in Tehran on Tuesday afternoon to commemorate Iranian "National Teachers' Day", Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that there are different sources of power in today's world and the military power is just one them. "As long as the legitimate governments of the regional countries need our help, Iran will remain in those countries".

The spiritual leader of Iran also accused the US that they are an economic war with his country.

Yet on Monday, Iran's deputy foreign minister Abbas Araghchi hinted that Tehran might leave the agreement first, arguing that it is "no longer sustainable for Iran in its present form, without regard to a USA exit". In exchange, Iran received relief from sanctions, most of which were lifted in January 2016.
