Why LA is better for LeBron James than Philadelphia

Latest LeBron update spells bad news for Rockets

Looking ahead at the offseason, TMZ caught up with George and specifically asked him about playing with James.

LeBron James #23 of the Cleveland Cavaliers looks on against the Golden State Warriors in Game Four of the 2018 NBA Finals won 108-85 by the Golden State Warriors over the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Quicken Loans Arena on June 6, 2018 in Cleveland, Ohio.

The first question is who should the third star be, and which teams are in a position to trade one?

After overruling his family's desire to remain in Miami when he returned to Cleveland, James has said his family will have more of a voice this time in his upcoming free agency.

"Yeah, I'm with LeBron every All-Star".

George has been rumored to be likely to sign with the Lakers this offseason. These odds skyrocketed after Gary Payton said that James' son was already committed to Sierra Canyon School just outside of Los Angeles.

For now, Jackson is hesitant to say the Lakers will contend in the Western Conference even if they sign James. "Not with the Los Angeles Lakers in the picture, Houston Rockets, Boston Celtics and now the San Antonio Spurs".

Teaming up would make a lot of sense for both players. We have been picking apart why the Lakers are a better fit for James than other teams, and now, it is time to dissect the Lakers vs. the 76ers.

But they only have until July 1 until teams can actively start speaking to the duo, with reports expecting both players to explore the free agency market.

In terms of being ready to be a title contender, the Rockets are probably the best choice for James if they still have James Harden and Chris Paul on the team.
