Announcement made over Daley Blind

He's going home

The 28-year-old Holland worldwide swapped the Amsterdam giants for Old Trafford four years ago in a £14million deal. According to BBC there's an agreement in place between United and Ajax for £14.1m.

Manchester United are reportedly close to sanctioning the sale of Daley Blind to former club Ajax.

However, the other notable player to not be flying to the States does have a move away from Manchester United on the cards.

After spending four mixed years at Manchester United, Daley Blind is set for a summer exit with a return to former club Ajax.

Blind arrived at United in the summer of 2014 after some impressive performances at the World Cup, as he helped Louis van Gaal's Dutch side reach the semi-finals before following the experienced tactician to Old Trafford.

In 4 years in England, he has made 144 appearances, winning the EFL Cup, FA Cup, Community Shield and Europa League. Since the arrival of Jose Mourinho the centre back, who can also play in midfield, has been used sparingly.

"I think it's no secret that we [Ajax] are still looking for a central defender and, if possible, it would be a great addition for Ajax to have a player with the quality of Daley to fit in the team".

Blind returned to United for pre-season training but was left out of the squad which travelled to America on Sunday.
