Cleveland Browns lose again after Zane Gonzalez misses crucial kicks

The NFL's Ian Rapoport reported the move on Twitter. Unfortunately, the Cleveland Browns are finding new ways to lose.

Joseph was picked over several other kickers who came in for tryouts on Monday, said the person who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the team has not announced the signing. He played at Florida Atlantic.

The Cleveland Browns are reportedly signing Greg Joseph to replace Zane Gonzalez.

Joseph, who made 57-of-82 kicks in college, is Cleveland's third kicker in as many years.

The move comes after the Browns reportedly chose to part ways with Zane Gonzalez, who missed two field-goal attempts in the team's 21-18 loss to the Saints on Sunday, including a potential tying field goal.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Gonzalez was batting a leg injury while kicking for the Browns (0-1-1) against the Saints (1-1). It can't be understated enough that they took Pittsburgh - a team popularly viewed to have the same Super Bowl aspirations as New Orleans - down to the wire, only to tragically shank a would-be game-winning field goal.

Even if he makes one field goal.

Then, after the Saints took a three-point lead with 21 seconds remaining, the Browns worked the ball down the field from their own 25-yard line to the New Orleans 34 after Taylor completed passes of 25 and 16 yards to Jarvis Landry and Callaway, respectively.

The bad: Everything else, with the most recent heartbreak coming in a 21-18 loss that gave the Browns a 0-1-1 record.
