UB40 swears it has 'nothing to do' with Kavanaugh's alleged bar fight

Liz Swisher a former Yale classmate of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh alleges he lied under oath to the Senate Judiciary Committee

According to the police report, the nominee was questioned alongside four other men by the New Haven Police Department for throwing ice on another patron.

Kavanaugh has declined to comment on whether he threw beer or ice or anything whatsoever at Cozzolino, in the wake of the report. Dudley, who played basketball for Yale and then went on to play in the NBA, is cited as having smashed a beer glass over Cozzolino's head.

A witness told police the man who threw the glass was Chris Dudley, Kavanaugh's close friend.

Dudley has spoken out in support of Kavanaugh's nomination, and on Monday the White House released joint statements from him and a former Yale suite mate, Dan Murphy, rebutting any claims that Kavanaugh drank to the point of blacking out.

The man noticed Ludington, Kavanaugh and the others looking at him and - according to Ludington - aggressively asked them to stop. It is hardly the most damning revelation, though it is relevant to Kavanaugh's truthfulness, given that he denied before the Senate ever having gotten aggressive while drinking.

As the FBI investigates claims of sexual assault levelled against the controversial Supreme Court nominee in the wake of his Senate testimony last week, one of his Yale classmates is alleging that Kavanaugh's sworn testimony that he never drank enough to black out is not entirely accurate.

"Brett and I did not socialize beyond the first few days of freshman year". "And in all the years I have known him, I have never seen him to be disrespectful or inappropriate with women".

On Monday, the White House circulated a statement from Dudley, who went on to play in the National Basketball Association and run for governor of OR in 2010. "The person they are trying to describe would not be able to function day to day".

Hartman said Tuesday that there is no supplemental report on the alleged 1985 incident, adding that it occurred at "a local bar that no longer exists, and unfortunately everyone who was involved from the police end has retired decades ago". It was a favorite haunt of Yale students. "We're a college town, lots of bars, lots of establishments that serve liquor".
