Rihanna Reportedly Turned Down Super Bowl in Support of Colin Kaepernick

Rihanna reportedly turned down Super Bowl halftime show in support of Colin Kaepernick

According to the source, the "Love On the Brain" singer "stands with the players and Colin Kaepernick".

"The NFL and CBS really wanted Rihanna to be next year's performer in Atlanta", according to an industry insider.

Entertainment Tonight reports that Rihanna was the front-runner, but she made a decision to pass due to the ongoing situation regarding players kneeling during the national anthem, which Kaepernick started in 2016.

Amy Schumer is staging her own kind of National Football League protest. The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback has not played since the 2016 season as a result of the controversy. In 2006, she created the Believe Foundation to help terminally ill children, has been supportive of charities helping to combat HIV/AIDs and cancer, and founded the Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF) in 2012, to help impoverished communities across the globe. The reason for Rihanna is her style, her swag and the aura about her.

"I personally told my reps I wouldn't do a Super Bowl commercial this year", Schumer wrote on Instagram Friday. Just when she walks in a room, people feel her presence'.

It turns out that she refused to climb the stage at the Super Bowl because she 'supports Colin Kaepernick'. There are also rumors that Cardi B and Travis Scott will join them during the performance at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium on February 3.
