The third season of Stranger Things will be eight episodes long, titled Suzie, Do You Copy?, The Mall Rats, The Case of the Missing Lifeguard, The Sauna Test, The Source, The Birthday, The Bite and The Battle of Starcourt.

The third season of the sci-fi horror series premieres on Netflix on July 4, U.S. time, meaning it will be available for Kiwis to binge-watch on July 5. Which means a whole lot of Americans are going to skip their annual fireworks and Brit-bashing to marathon the new series.

On New Year's Eve, the streaming giant released a brief teaser for the popular sci-fi series' upcoming third season showing a New Year's Eve countdown video from 1985 broadcast "live from WIYZ". There's a teaser trailer you should check out for some classic 80s Dick Clark vibes, mixed with the show's usual Upside Down flavor promising new adventures in Hawkins, IN this summer.

For those who have been anxiously awaiting the release date of "Stranger Things", your wait is over.

The tweet includes an illustrated teaser that reads, "One summer can change everything".

Eagle-eyed fans will also spot familiar phrases that flash up on screen, such as ' the silver cat feeds" and "when blue and yellow meet in the west'.

In the poster, the show's stars are watching 4th of July fireworks explode in 1985, leading us to believe that the series won't just be released over Independence Day, but also be set around it.

Meanwhile, Mike (Finn Wolfhard) is looking over at Eleven, the girl he finally smooched at the prom at the end of Season 2.
