R. Kelly's streams increase after docu-series alleges abuse

R. Kelly Under Investigation in Georgia Following New Documentary's Abuse Allegations: Report

Previously, State Attorney Kim Foxx said that she was "sickened" by the content of the Lifetime docuseries, Surviving R. Kelly.

Spurred by a six-hour documentary series about R. Kelly, a crowd of #MuteRKelly protesters gathered outside the embattled artist's Near West Side recording studio Wednesday evening. Investigators have made contact with the family of Asante McGee and the attorney for the family of Jocelyn Savage, two of the women who were profiled in the film.

If you or someone you know think they are being abused, call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 (SAFE) or 1-800-787-3224 (TTY) now for anonymous, confidential help, available 24/7.

Her office covers Chicago where Kelly has a home. Also, she requested that anyone who was a victim of the singer to come forward.

"Please come forward. There is nothing that can be done to investigate these allegations without the cooperation of both victims and witnesses", she said.

R. Kelly may now be under criminal investigation for sexual abuse, but that did not stop him from publically celebrating his 52nd birthday, and it certainly did not stop him from shadily addressing the controversy.

"I'm guilty of that too myself because I didn't stop and be like, 'Yo, ' and speak against this", he said. I was sickened as a mother.

Hopefully, all of these legal situations following the airing of Surviving R. Kelly will bring justice to the victims of R. Kelly. He's reportedly put together a packet of evidence that will be given to the Cook County State Attorney.

The Associated Press reported that in 2008, a Cook County jury acquitted Kelly on 14 counts of child pornography after he was accused of engaging in sex acts with a girl as young as 13. But Dontaye Carter, a spokesman for Gerald Griggs, a lawyer representing parents of a girl who they say Kelly has kept from contacting them since 2016, confirmed the firm has provided information to the district attorney's office.

TMZ has shared video of the performer at the club, surrounded by punters filming as one of his songs blares in the background. He said Foxx shouldn't be soliciting cases.

"Man, who is that", the 35-year-old said.
